This person will be responsible of repairs on trucks, trailers and other vehicles. Responsibilities: Examine vehicles to determine extent of damage or malfunctions Repair, reline, replace & adjust brakes Review work orders and discuss work with supervisors Follow checklists to ensure all important parts are examined & other potentially troublesome areas Plan work procedures, using charts, technical manuals & experience Communicate with driver to obtain descriptions of vehicle problems. Perform routine and scheduled maintenance services such as oil changes, lubrications & tune-ups, DOT Inspections Complies with all safety, DOT & OSHA guidelines Adhere to company rules & regulations Ensure cleanliness of shop & surrounding areas.
