Grab your passport, we’re going on the Jax Ale Trail! This one-of-a-kind craft beer adventure is interlaced with 20+ (and counting) Jacksonville breweries. With a handful of new local breweries popping up in Jacksonville, the Jax Ale Trail is your tour guide for experiencing the newest brews in the area.

So how does the Ale Trail work? After you pick up your passport from a participating brewery, sip on a craft beverage and stamp your passport. As you acquire stamps and a broadened beer palette, you can win JAX-themed prizes!

Apart from our Ale Trail, it’s easy to quench your thirst in JAX with craft beer, artisan cocktails and other spirits. River & Post, for one, combines crafty cocktails, culinary decadence and a rooftop lounge that overlooks downtown Jacksonville to create a unique drinking and dining experience.

Broaden your beer horizon at Intuition Ale Works by sipping on a small-batch brew or taking a tour of the taproom.

Dos Gatos and Ice Plant Bar are local favorites, and they even graced Southern Living’s list of favorite Southern Bars, thanks to classic cocktails and singular specials, like “A Peculiar Paradise” and “Bodak Yellow.”

The Jacksonville region is not without gastropubs and speak-easy style bars either. Looking for a late-night nosh? Poe’s Tavern has more than 50 beer options and The Volstead creates tantalizing, hand crafted cocktails that you don’t want to miss out on.

Enjoy a drink and live music at Prohibition Kitchen in St. Augustine or the Flying Iguana, which boasts a selection of more than 100 tequilas and thanks to our year-round summer climate, rooftop bars never go out of season.
