Working hours primarily align with the Eastern Time Zone; candidates located in the Eastern or Central time zones are preferred. POSITION SUMMARY: The Data Migration Analyst supports the complete lifecycle of data migration for banks and credit unions implementing the Nymbus Core platform. This includes analyzing source data from donor core systems, defining data requirements, mapping and transforming data, validating conversion results, and helping ensure data is accurate and complete before each go-live milestone. This is a client-facing, hands-on role for someone who is naturally curious, analytical, and motivated to solve complex data challenges. The Data Migration Analyst will contribute directly to multiple conversion engagements while helping Nymbus develop reusable migration standards, documented conversion patterns, and AI-assisted tools that improve speed, accuracy, and scalability. The successful candidate will be comfortable performing detailed conversion work while also identifying opportunities to automate manual processes, improve validation workflows, and advance the way data migration is delivered at Nymbus. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES: Build and maintain data requirements for migrating source data from donor core systems into the Nymbus Core platform. Analyze and map data across banking functions, including deposit operations, loan products, consumer demographics, retirement accounts, financial reporting structures, and general ledger data. Use SQL and other programming languages to map source data, define transformation logic, and support conversion programming. Verify conversion output against client source data, documented specifications, business requirements, and approved transformation rules. Test and validate converted data using reporting tools, reconciliation processes, quality assurance checks, and exception analysis. Identify data quality issues, transformation errors, and anomalies that could affect conversion accuracy, completeness, or readiness. Lead and participate in client discussions involving source data structures, business rules, mapping decisions, conversion results, and issue resolution. Collaborate with client project teams, internal delivery consultants, technical teams, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and effective implementation of Nymbus software and services. Support multiple concurrent conversion engagements by coordinating priorities, managing time-sensitive deliverables, and completing assigned work with minimal supervision. Design, build, and improve AI-assisted tools and automations that accelerate data migration activities, reduce manual effort, and improve consistency. Explore opportunities to automate field-mapping recommendations across commonly encountered donor core systems. Develop tools and processes that help identify data anomalies during transformation and streamline validation activities that currently require significant manual intervention. Document conversion patterns, source-system knowledge, data-mapping standards, transformation rules, validation procedures, and reusable frameworks. Contribute to a shared body of institutional knowledge that improves consistency, reduces ramp time, and increases team resilience across future conversions. Recommend improvements to data migration processes, tools, standards, and quality controls based on lessons learned from conversion engagements. Maintain a flexible schedule that allows for occasional travel, weekend work, or holiday work when required to support critical conversion and go-live activities. QUALIFICATIONS: 2+ years of experience in financial services, preferably with hands-on experience in data conversion, data migration, ETL, conversion programming, or software development within a core banking or fintech environment. Proficiency in SQL and experience using SQL to analyze, map, transform, reconcile, or validate data. Familiarity with additional programming or scripting languages is strongly preferred. Experience interpreting technical specifications, source-data structures, transformation rules, and business requirements. Understanding of banking data and operations, including deposit accounts, loan products, retirement accounts, consumer demographics, general ledger or financial reporting structures, banking regulations, and personally identifiable information policies. Experience with data validation, reconciliation, reporting, exception analysis, or quality assurance processes. Genuine curiosity about artificial intelligence and a demonstrated interest in building tools, automations, or improved workflows that make analytical work faster and more reliable. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate complex data issues and drive them through resolution. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical data concepts to clients and cross-functional stakeholders. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver accurate work within time-sensitive project schedules. Self-directed, process-oriented, and highly attentive to detail. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting core banking conversions or migrations from commonly used donor core platforms. Experience developing reusable data-mapping frameworks, validation utilities, reporting tools, or workflow automations. Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools, large language models, machine learning applications, or automated anomaly-detection approaches. A continuous-improvement mindset and an interest in helping define the future of AI-assisted data migration at Nymbus.
