This position is intended for professional development and is focused on furthering knowledge and skills in the field of athletic performance. Additionally, the individuals selected will be able to take an active role assisting our Senior Men's & Women's teams. The individuals selected for the fellowship will gain hands-on experience within an High-Performance structure through performing a variety of roles with the chance to have a direct impact on professional soccer in Jacksonville. Essential Functions The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities, and be able to explain and demonstrate that they can perform the essential functions of the job. The candidate of choice may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the team needs including working game nights. Performs as a developing strength and conditioning coach & sport scientist in the team environment. Will assist in team warm-ups, conditioning sessions, cool downs, and weight room sessions with the opportunity to lead if they demonstrate the aptitude to do so. Works under the direction and supervision of the Sporting Club Jacksonville Director of Performance & Lead Performance coach Assist with morning wellness initiatives Assists in the implementation of Sport Science Initiatives Assist to maintain professional facilities (keep the weight room clean, organized, etc). Performs other duties as assigned or required. Some travel may be required. Always represents Sporting Club Jacksonville in a professional manner. Description Provide expert assessment and treatment of acute injuries and illnesses for both in-person and telemedicine patients, including but not limited to the management of the febrile infant/child, ear/nose/throat infections, pediatric abdominal pain, anaphylaxis, procedural anxiolysis, respiratory distress, croup, and asthma. Perform common urgent care procedures, including but not limited to abscess drainage, foreign body removal, and laceration repair with sutures, staples, and dermal adhesive. Perform and document vaccine and medication reconciliation with patient and state registry; provide written vaccine information statements, education of patients/parents prior to vaccine and medication administration. Ensure and adhere to vaccine cold change management with proper handling, storage, preparation and administration to include reporting vaccine excursion. Perform proper patient identifiers, buddy process validation as per policies, and perform proper vaccine and medication administration to include intramuscular, intradermal, subcutaneous injections with post observation. Complete patient follow up and tasks assigned to meet patient needs to include but not limited to answering phones, handling correspondence, prescription refill request providing clinician with necessary information as needed, obtaining medication preauthorization, assisting with patient referrals, patient form completion to include DME, therapy, school clearance, sports and medication forms, arrange home, hospital care, procedures and follow up appointments, etc. Perform phlebotomy, lab sample collection and proper processing with documentation and report to clinician as outlined per policy. This is a part-time opportunity (2 days/week) weekend rounding in a skilled nursing facility, with excellent support and training, autonomy, and earning potential. Compensation is fee for service with an estimated compensation range of $82,252 to $98,703 annually and no cap on productivity income potential. Successful candidates will be expected to provide exceptional patient care in a multidisciplinary setting, contribute to the education of residents/fellows in the medical intensive care unit and demonstrate exceptional teamwork with advanced practice providers, nursing, pharmacy, physical therapy, occupational therapy and all care team members. Board Certification in Critical Care and the ability to obtain an unrestricted Florida license is required. 1. Ideal qualifications include the following: Two or more years of experience in the management of complex ICU patients, as well as, experience with common and advanced bedside procedures. Includes for example 2 years' experience as an attending staff member in Critical Care; or one year as a Chief Resident/Chief Fellow and one year attending staff member. Experience in the use of bedside critical care ultrasound for patient assessment and procedures. Advance cardiopulmonary physiology, hemodynamics and multimodal monitoring Strong interest in a career in academic acute care medicine with proficiency in education and teaching of medical learners (medical students, residents, and physician extenders/advanced practice providers). This service line manages critically ill patients with cardiology (AMI, heart failure), heart/lung transplant, mechanical circulatory devices including ECMO, thoracic surgery and complex vascular surgery needs. TXCCS (Abdominal Transplant and Surgical ICU Service Line). This service line manages critically ill patients with liver/kidney failure-transplant, also including critical care from selected surgical specialities such as hepatobiliary, colorectal, urology and orthopedic surgery.
