The successful applicant will help drive innovation and clinical implementation across medical physics while overseeing safety, quality, and accreditation processes, with a primary focus on X-ray–based modalities and ultrasound. Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with patients, radiologists, medical physics colleagues, and other healthcare professionals are essential. This position will provide direct support and leadership for projects including specification of software and hardware for new equipment, periodic evaluation of imaging system performance, development of advanced clinical applications and procedures, study design, and integration and optimization of clinical and research protocols. Teaching responsibilities may include instruction for radiology and medical physics residents, as well as allied health staff such as technologists, sonographers and nurses. Experience with mammography and MQSA qualification is required. Organizes and maintains patient information for team so that: • Tracks team census by logging all status changes, levels of care, admissions, deaths, discharges, and transfers on a change of status form. • Monitors the Community PedsCare email for team referral requests and family letters. • Scans designated documentation into Forcura. • Prepares IDG Agenda/ spreadsheet with recerts and inputs into Suncoast; distributes copies to team. • Creates the IDT meeting in Suncoast. • Coordinates and prepares all handouts and documents for the IDT meeting. Supports PedsCare family events • Works at the direction of the Community PedsCare Director with department activities, events and team celebrations. • Works with the team to plan and support the execution of events/activities. • Order needed materials, secure locations, interface with the families and help to direct the volunteers. • Coordinates with the vendors and participating departments. • Tracks all RSVP’s for patient events / activities. • Supports the Community PedsCare event as directed. • Other duties as assigned.
