Cut, thread, and groove pipe to specifications, using tools such as saws and pipe threaders. Work and coordinate with various contractors and trades to resolve coordination conflicts in the field. Provide support, guidance, and expertise to the other field installers and helpers. Understand the full scope of work and identify adds, moves, or changes not included in original scope. A minimum of five years of experience in the Fire and Life Safety industry. Completed Sprinkler Apprenticeship program through the 4th year Foreman Course. Strong working knowledge of wet, dry, and pre-action systems, as well as backflows and fire pumps. Strong understanding of all sprinkler system components and how they work. Willing and able to utilize electronic devices and software for completion of inspection reports and other duties. Experience with installation of underground piping preferred. Advanced knowledge of NFPA 14, 20, 24, and 25 code requirements. Ability to read and install from fire system design drawings and documentation, including system zoning. Ability to use trade appropriate tools to perform daily pipe fitting duties efficiently and safely. Ability to train others to use trade appropriate tools efficiently and safely. Certified in backflow inspection and repair preferred. State required certifications. Job or site-specific equipment certifications as determined by the business. Product specific certifications as determined by the business. Ability to understand BIM design and is able to effectively navigate and install. Position Summary The MV (Medium Voltage) Manager is responsible for overseeing the design and standardization of custom, medium voltage (MV) products for the Commercial and Industrial (C&I) markets. The MV Manager will ensure that products like switchgear and bus bars meet customer specifications, are compliant with industry standards (UL, IEEE), and are optimized for manufacturability. Key Responsibilities Supervisory Responsibilities: Lead the Mechanical Engineering design team supporting MV design in Jacksonville. Partner with Maintenance Of Line (MOL) team to assure all designs meet IEM standards and policies. Provide direction in meeting the schedule, dashboard standards, and process consistency across sites. Develop and implement efficient workflows to ensure designs meet customer demands. This includes mentoring, training, and succession planning for the team. Ensure that all designs adhere to relevant UL, IEEE, and ANSI standards, including C37.20 for metal-clad switchgear. Design Output and Quality Oversee the creation of high-quality designs for custom MV products, such as switchgear (5kV to 38kV). Ensure design output meets customer requirements while complying with safety and regulatory standards, including UL listings. Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring that designs are finalized and delivered to production on schedule. Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with the sales and planning teams to translate customer requirements into feasible and manufacturable designs. Collaborate with the production and quality control teams to resolve any design-related issues and ensure seamless handoff from design to fabrication. Provide regular design status updates to ensure alignment with production schedules and customer delivery expectations. Continuous Improvement and Innovation Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the speed and efficiency of the design process, identifying bottlenecks and implementing solutions. Stay up-to-date with advancements in MV technologies and incorporate new methods to improve design efficiency and product performance. Ensure that all team members are trained on the latest design tools and methodologies. Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Extensive experience in medium voltage design and a solid understanding of relevant standards such as UL and IEEE. 5+ years of demonstrated leadership of cross-functional programs or teams. Demonstrated experience owning operational metrics, dashboards, and reporting for an engineering or manufacturing function. Background in driving cross-functional process improvement, standardization, or governance initiatives. Experience with FEA tools and simulation-based design optimization. The Opportunity As a SAP Manufacturing Senior Manager, you will specialize in providing consulting services for SAP supply chain and operations applications, enabling clients to optimize their supply chain processes and improve operational efficiency. Within our Digital Core Modernisation practice, you will analyze client needs, implement software solutions, and offer training and support for seamless integration and utilization of SAP applications. This role is pivotal in helping clients achieve their strategic objectives through innovative solutions and strategic advising. As a Senior Manager, you will leverage your skills and professional network to deliver quality results. You will motivate and coach teams to solve complex problems, applying sound judgment to recognize when to take action or escalate issues. Responsibilities - Leading SAP supply chain and operations consulting projects to optimize client processes and improve operational efficiency - Analyzing client needs and implementing SAP software solutions for seamless integration and utilization - Providing training and support to clients for effective use of SAP supply chain management applications - Developing strategies for procurement system implementation and cost management to enhance client operations - Utilizing data-driven insights and analytical thinking to drive supply chain transformation and performance improvements - Coordinating supply chain processes and managing inventory to reduce lead times and improve service delivery - Applying systems thinking to identify underlying problems and opportunities within client operations - Crafting and conveying clear, impactful messages that tell a holistic story to clients and stakeholders - Directing teams through complex situations, demonstrating composure and strategic questioning to resolve challenges - Initiating open and honest coaching conversations to develop high-performing, diverse, and inclusive teams What You Must Have - At least a Bachelor's degree - At least 6 years of experience What Sets You Apart - Preference for a Master's or Masters of Business Administration degree in at least one of the following fields of study:Business Administration/Management, Computer Science/Information Systems, Engineering, Operations/Supply Chain, Science - Demonstrating advanced skills in SAP Supply Chain Management - Utilizing data-driven insights for strategic decision-making - Leading complex supply chain transformation projects - Excelling in project resource management and budgeting - Innovating processes for operational excellence - Building and sustaining diverse, inclusive high-performing teams The salary range for this position is: $124,000 - $280,000. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws. All hired individuals are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
