Overview: Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking a skilled and dependable Survey Crew Chief to join our Survey group in Jacksonville, FL. As a Survey Crew Chief, you will lead field survey operations for a variety of projects, including boundary, topographic, construction, and utility surveys. This role requires strong leadership in the field, a solid understanding of survey methods and equipment, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. You will play a key part in delivering accurate and high-quality data that supports our engineering and design services across multiple sectors. Responsibilities: This position may include work as a leader of one, two or three-person crews. Survey projects include FDOT design and ROW, topographic, aerial ground control, boundary and ALTA. Qualifications: 10 years of field survey experience and at least 5 years of experience as a Crew Chief, or equivalent knowledge. Florida DOT (FDOT) project experience. Proficient in use of Trimble equipment. Candidates must be proficient with data collectors, data collection techniques, robotic instruments, conventional field note-keeping, total stations and leveling. Experience with or ability to learn the use of 3D scanners. Candidate must be a self-starter, with little need for supervision once provided with a work assignment. Must be able to work in inclement weather. Willingness to travel overnight. A valid driver's license and clean driving record required. MVR will be checked and monitored.
