DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Under general supervision, the purpose of the position is to perform general maintenance to keep landscapes attractive, clean, and well maintained. Employees in this classification function at journey level, and apply knowledge of plants, trees, and grasses in growing, pruning, and fertilizing shrubs, lawns, bushes, trees, and flowers. Employee is distinguished from that of the entry level position by knowledge and proficiency gained through experience. Employees must possess the skills necessary to operate powered and manual operated grounds maintenance equipment. Performs related work as directed. Performs a variety of grounds maintenance tasks, e.g., edging, mowing, trimming, waste and litter removal, fertilizing, placing sod, raking, planting. Perform basic maintenance on lawns. Use knowledge of different types of grasses to identify and treat any diseases as well as to pick weeds, lay mulch, install sprinklers, and follow spring and fall fertilizing plans. Perform basic pruning of trees and bushes, remove dead branches, and assess any potential diseases or conditions causing issues with existing foliage. May utilize a wide variety of manual of light equipment and machinery, e.g., automobile, pickup truck, lawn mower, ride-on mowers, weed trimmers, pruners, hedge cutters, loppers. May utilize a wide variety of manual, hand tools, e.g., hammer, shovel, rake, screw drivers, wrenches, digging bar, chainsaw, chemical sprayer leaf blowers, edger. Position performs a variety of labor-intensive work which may include exposure to difficult working conditions, e.g., extreme heat or cold, fumes, chemicals. Cleans, maintains, and adjusts tools, equipment, and machinery, e.g., maintains fluids, performs general servicing and minor repairs. May be required to work late hours, weekends, and emergency response. Must be able to respond to emergency and after-hour calls on nights, weekends, and holidays. Responsible for ensuring all work and activities are performed safely and in accordance with City policies. Must function in severe weather conditions and have the ability to respond to hazardous/risky situations and perform mitigation efforts in emergencies. Performs related duties as directed. DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Under direct supervision, the purpose of the position is to maintain, inspect and repair the Wastewater pumping stations and Wastewater Plants. Employees in this classification function at an entry level position. Employee is responsible for weekly pump station inspections, annual maintenance of pumps and related equipment, cleaning pump stations and other various tasks. Knowledge will be acquired by working with experienced staff and on the job training. Make confined space entries with crew to inspect and make repairs if necessary. Emergency call back and rotating call duty. (Determined by Supervision based on ability). MINIMUM TRAINING, EXPERIENCE, LICENSES, OR CERTIFICATIONS High School Diploma or GED required; supplemented by one (1) year responsible experience in public utilities or other large scale commercial pumping systems, motors and electrical equipment or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered. Must possess and maintain a valid Florida Driver's License. CDL B license will need to be obtained within (1) year of employment. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, and diagram or schedule form. Ability to wear all required PPE, which includes but not limited to hard hat, gloves, eye protection. Knowledge of pumps, motors, gearboxes, electrical and other applicable equipment. Assistant Safety Manager

Job Description Summary: Reports directly to the Maritime Safety Manager (Government Operations). The Assistant MSM supports all department safety programs, tracks regulatory and SQEMM compliance, completes contract deliverables, issues fleet communications, and responds to fleet inquiries. This role supports Safety Manager communications with vessel leadership and internal departments. The ASMS is expected to act with a high degree of discretion, have thorough organizational skills, and a working knowledge of the maritime industry. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following & other duties may be assigned: Organize and maintain electronic files in NSE for all TOTE Services operated vessels. Prepare and format regulatory and contract deliverables and supporting documentation for executive and customer review. Ensure thorough knowledge of safety management systems and assist assigned fleet with understanding of policies and procedures. Track and maintain the status of vessel findings, non-conformities, and corrective actions in NSE and send follow-up reminders to responsible parties. Track and maintain company specific required submittals for assigned fleet and send follow-up to vessels with action items outstanding. Monitor safety meeting records from vessels and compile key themes or action items for the Safety Manager's review. Send follow-up to vessels with action items outstanding. Support weather monitoring processes and assist in coordinating Heavy Weather Advisory Team (HWAT) conference calls, including scheduling and documentation. Monitor certificate expiration dates and regulatory filing deadlines; alert the MSM in advance of approaching due dates. Assist with annual MARAD Safety Survey checklists onboard contract vessels. Research and compile summaries of new or updated USCG, ABS, and environmental regulations as directed. Assist with preparing the HSQE department's annual budget inputs and tracking expenditures. Supports safety equipment compliance and registration for the assigned fleet. This position requires travel and remote work while on assignment to vessels and offices outside of the Jacksonville area. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: No direct supervisory responsibilities, however, management of fleet relationships are essential. Those responsibilities include training, employee planning, and addressing complaints or hazard analysis through risk mitigation. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to comprehend, apply and discuss regulatory implementation/guidance of both USCG & ABS. Unload product from truck and place in coolers according to Fresh Foods Receiving and Rotation standards; load salvage on truck as required. Remove products from storage. Keep Our Stores Clean. Clean and sanitize prep room and coolers as appropriate. Be knowledgeable of and perform fixed activities when business is light. (i.e. sweeping, cleaning, blocking, straightening, emptying trash, etc.) Understand the overall Fresh Foods Department operation. Complete paperwork accurately and maintain proper records.
