Water/Wastewater Utility Client Services Manager

STV’s Jacksonville, FL location is seeking a Water/Wastewater Utility Client Services Manager for our Water Practice Group. You’ll provide the ability to contribute immediately to Water and Wastewater (W/WW) project development and execution of varying sizes as part of a growing office. As a Client Services Manager, you’ll actively participate in the full project cycle, from the design phase through the final construction close-out. In this position you will perform design engineering tasks to lead the Project Team in the execution and delivery of water and wastewater linear projects. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Production of contract documents including plans, specifications and opinions of probable construction costs (OPCCs). Perform pipeline hydraulic flow and pressure calculations. Prepare construction and design cost estimates. Perform engineering duties in planning and designing large and small diameter water and wastewater pipelines. Responsible for or willingness to learn project management, client interface and business development of future projects. Make site visits during design and construction to observe the construction installation. Review construction shop drawings and submittals for compliance with project design documents. Build and oversee staff Here’s What You’ll Need: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited University or NCEES equivalent. Preferably 15 years or more (minimum of 12 years of experience) in water/wastewater projects with demonstrated background with JEA on linear stand-alone pipeline and utility relocation projects. Pumping station and treatment plant project experience are a plus. Horizontal Directional Drill experience is a plus Experience working with local municipalities and utility companies. Ability to work and communicate well will other design disciplines. Possess strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to work independently. Strong oral and written communication skills. Familiarity with production tools, or modeling and design software is a plus. We are looking for a Tailman on a Pipe Crew to join our team. You must have at least one year of experience. This position is responsible for providing support and assistance to the Pipe Layer. In addition, the Tailman is responsible for the assembly, connection, and construction of pipe systems for storm drains in relation to heavy construction projects. Job Functions (include but are not limited to) Assist pipe layer in the installation of water main and sewers Perform manual labor involved in assembling heavy construction pipe systems. Ability to check trench for safe slopes and correct ladder entrance/exit placement. Hand-dig pipe bedding for proper elevation and alignment. Dig by hand to expose existing pipes and/or utilities in the trench area. Inspect pipes to ensure proper jointing can be achieved. Verify installation using lasers and/or levels and grade rods. Compact fill below, around, and above pipe installation. Perform other duties as assigned. Essential Functions of the Job Working hours are 7:00 am till 5:30 pm Monday thru Friday (subject to change due to project demands, weather, etc.), with a lunch break. Must be willing to work overtime, standby, and some weekends. The job may entail heavy physical labor, which requires strength and agility. Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 lbs and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 lbs. You may be required to climb, kneel, crouch, twist, lift, carry, drag, balance, push, and/or pull. All projects are outdoors, in all weather and temperature extremes, and regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. Occasionally, the noise level in the work environment is loud.
