Qualified candidates will have a minimum of 2 years of experience inlays out, fitting, and welds fabricated, cast, and forging components to assemble structural forms. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Select equipment and plan layout, assemble, and weld. Layout, position, align and fit components together. Bolt, clamp, and tack-weld parts to secure in position for welding. Set up equipment and weld parts, using arc, gas-shielded arc, submerged arc, or gas welding equipment. Ensure a safe working environment by maintaining constant awareness of job-related hazards and effectively communicating instruction to others. Maintain weld leads, MIG guns, plasma cutters in proper working order. Weld-on outlets, flanges and assemble supports based on stock listings and miscellaneous fabrication sheets. Grind off outlet openings to prepare for welders. Bundle both welded and threaded lines per stock listings. Your expertise will contribute directly to the production of durable, corrosion-resistant parts used across multiple industries. *Duties* * Prepare metal surfaces through cleaning, sanding, and surface preparation techniques such as construction painting surface preparation and machining to ensure optimal coating adhesion. * Operate electroplating equipment and related machinery, including spray guns, power tools, and airless paint spraying systems, following established procedures. * Interpret production documents and specifications accurately to determine coating requirements and application methods. * Apply coatings using conventional spraying or electrochemical processes while adhering strictly to safety protocols and PPE guidelines, including respirator use and respiratory protection measures. * Handle materials safely with proper materials handling techniques. * Conduct visual color comparisons and inspect finished surfaces for quality standards in production finishing. * Maintain cleanliness of work area, equipment calibration, and documentation of process parameters in compliance with lean manufacturing principles. *Requirements* * Proven experience with electroplating processes is desirable, but not necessary. We will train. * Mechanical knowledge combined with proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments. * Ability to interpret technical drawings, fabrication instructions, and production documentation accurately. * Strong understanding of safety protocols including PPE use, respirator fitting, and adherence to respiratory protection standards. * Basic math skills for measuring materials and calculating coating thicknesses or chemical concentrations. * Knowledge of manufacturing environments with an emphasis on quality standards in production and lean manufacturing practices. This role combines skillful VDC experience with strong leadership and responsible for the success of all VDC projects. The manager will work under general supervision, following established guidelines and participating in regular check-ins to review progress, clarify priorities, and address challenges. Essential Functions: Provide professional management to direct reports through communicating, planning, organizing, staffing, controlling and leading in order to attain corporate mandates and goals. Conduct employee reviews and maintain team feedback for growth. Plan and execute VDC activities on time and in line with corporate goals. Lead and mentor VDC Team Leads and modelers; manage workload, staffing, and performance. Oversee VDC scope from project kickoff through coordination and deliverable release. Enforce modeling standards, workflows, and quality control across all projects. Manage high-level coordination issues, clash resolution, and constructability reviews. Ensure VDC output aligns with fabrication standards and field installation needs. Support field teams with accurate drawings, layout data, and model updates. Approve major VDC deliverables, including shop drawings and as-built strategies. Improve VDC processes, evaluate new technologies, and support department growth. Collaborate with PMs, Estimating, Fabrication, and Field Operations. Perform administrative tasks to support the broader Preconstruction group.
