Batching Supervisor (Nights) The Batching Supervisor is responsible for collaborating with the Batching Manager to assist with daily operations of the production floor; ensuring the shift meets established safety, quality, and production goals in compliance with all applicable legal and food safety requirements. Essential Functions Assists Batching Manager with daily activities of assigned shift, ensuring product adheres to Niagara’s standard of safety, quality, and throughput. Communicates with previous shift regarding any challenges and opportunities on the production lines to prepare for the shift. Assists with batching as needed and preparing production lines for scheduled changeovers. Verifies discrete jobs are correct in Oracle (including quality and bill of material list), Warehouse Management System, and/or Line Management System. Supports Production Supervisor with hourly and / or end of shift production reports. Utilizes the Efficiency Improvement Tools to understand and comment on line downtime and communicate appropriately per the escalation plan. Maintains effective working relationships with team members through open communication, visibility, and involvement to promote a positive working environment that maximizes safety, employee engagement, productivity, and throughput. Responsible for team member coaching and development, employment decisions, and resolving issues through conflict resolution. Hires, trains, coaches and reviews performance of team members. Partners with Human Resources and Batching Manager for recruitment, corrective actions, and terminations. Orders and Inspects raw materials prior to changeovers to ensure correct inventories for production runs. Performs first pass quality checks after changeovers to prevent non-conforming product. Verifies inventory consumption by batch for traceability and ensures in-house inventory is correct. Conducts walkthroughs throughout the shift to ensure safety, quality, and housekeeping compliance by team members. Interfaces with multiple departments within the organization to ensure customer deadlines are met. Collaborates with plant leadership and shift team members to champion a world-class safety culture. Conducts weekly safety talk trainings, daily safety/quality/production meetings, and hourly safety walks. Adheres to the highest standards of company and plant safety programs, guidelines, rules, and regulations. Abides by Niagara’s Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Food Safety Standards at all times. Monitors and reviews assigned team members time and attendance for accuracy, as well as monitors PTO schedule and usage by team members. Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of the job. Ability to work 12 hour shifts, day or night, on a rotating 2-2-3 schedule or schedule as dictated by production demand. Position Summary: The Fabrication Data Analyst plays a critical role in enabling data-driven decision making across the Sheet Metal, Busbar, and Powder Coating operations. This role owns the collection, analysis, and visualization of fabrication performance data, including OEE, utilization, scrap, labor efficiency, and capacity. The analyst partners closely with the Director of Fabrication, Operations Managers, and the Fabrication Engineering team to support process implementation, standardization, and control. This role ensures that MES and OEE data are translated into timely, actionable insights that drive throughput, cost reduction, and continuous improvement. Reports to Director of Operations. Key Responsibilities: Collect, clean, validate, and analyze fabrication data from OEE, MES, ERP (SyteLine), and manual sources to generate accurate performance insights. Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools, providing daily, weekly, and monthly visibility into production performance. Monitor and evaluate KPIs including OEE, utilization, scrap, throughput, labor efficiency, capacity, and schedule attainment. Support the Fabrication Engineering Manager and Operations Managers in identifying bottlenecks, trends, and systemic issues. Provide detailed root-cause data analysis for downtime, quality issues, delays, or process instability. Participate in process implementation and process control activities, including validation of standard work, cycle times, routings, load balancing, and line balancing. Assist with configuration and optimization of MES and OEE systems to ensure accurate data capture and alignment with real workflows. Support the rollout of new process standards, automation cells, and engineering changes by providing required data analysis and control tools. Collaborate with Planning on capacity modeling, production forecasting, and scenario simulations for load balancing across buildings. Create automated reporting systems and alert mechanisms to flag performance risks to Operations Managers and the Director of Fabrication. Contribute to continuous improvement projects, supporting CI teams with data modeling, statistical analysis, and project tracking. Ensure data integrity, documentation consistency, and alignment with company-wide reporting standards. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in engineering, Industrial Engineering, Data Analytics, Manufacturing Technology, or related technical field. 2–5 years of experience in manufacturing analytics, operations analysis, industrial engineering, or similar role. Strong experience with ERP systems (Infor SyteLine preferred). Advanced proficiency in Power BI, Tableau, Excel, and data visualization tools. Strong skills in SQL, data manipulation, and database structures are an asset. Understanding of manufacturing processes, preferably in metal fabrication (sheet metal, busbar, powder coating). *Welder / Forklift Operator / Yard Helper Jacksonville* *Position Summary* We are seeking a dependable, safety-minded experienced *Welder, that is willing to be trained and certified as a Forklift Operator and perform general Fence Yard work* to support daily operations for Smith Fence Company. This position is responsible for welding and fabricating fence components, safely operating a forklift, organizing and maintaining the yard, and assisting with loading, unloading, and preparing materials for fence installation and production. The ideal candidate is a hardworking team player who can work independently, follow instructions, maintain a clean and organized work area, and safely handle materials and equipment. *Essential Responsibilities* *Welding & Fabrication* * Perform welding and basic metal fabrication for fence components and related materials. * Read and follow measurements, drawings, or work instructions as needed. * Cut, grind, drill, and prepare metal for welding and fabrication. * Inspect completed welds and fabricated materials for quality and accuracy. * Maintain welding equipment, tools, and work areas. * Follow all required welding and workplace safety procedures. *Forklift Operation* * Safely operate a forklift to load, unload, move, and stage fencing materials. * Handle posts, panels, gates, pipe, hardware, and other materials. * Load and unload trucks while protecting materials from damage. * Maintain awareness of employees, vehicles, and obstacles while operating equipment. * Complete routine equipment inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns. * Operate equipment only when properly trained and authorized. *Yard Helper Duties* * Keep the fence yard clean, organized, and free of unnecessary hazards. * Sort and organize fencing materials, tools, and supplies. * Assist with receiving and staging incoming materials. * Help prepare orders and materials for installation crews. * Load trucks and trailers accurately and safely. * Assist coworkers with general yard, shop, and material-handling duties. * Properly dispose of scrap and maintain organized work areas. * Perform other duties as assigned by management. *Qualifications* * Previous welding experience preferred. * Experience operating a forklift preferred however Smith Fence Co will train and certify the ideal candidate. * Fence, construction, fabrication, or warehouse experience is a plus. * Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic measurements. * Ability to safely lift and move heavy materials. * Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. * Reliable transportation and dependable attendance. * Ability to follow safety procedures and work effectively as part of a team. * Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. *Physical Requirements* * Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and work for extended periods. * Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy materials with appropriate assistance. * Ability to work around welding equipment, metal materials, forklifts, trucks, and other shop/yard equipment. * Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE). *Work Environment* This position works primarily in a *fence company yard and fabrication/shop environment*, with regular exposure to outdoor conditions, metal materials, welding operations, forklifts, trucks, and other equipment. *Safety Expectations* Safety is a top priority.
