Role Responsibilities Conduct accurate vehicle assessments, documenting cosmetic and mechanical conditions for appraisal analysis. Ensure accurate optioning of vehicles during assessments and inventory updates. Perform high-quality imaging of wholesale vehicles for CarMax websites and support wholesale auction preparation and operations. Complete vehicle secures and confirmations, verifying appraisal details and resolving discrepancies. Assist with inventory management, customer transfers, and lot merchandising as needed. *Southern Wrecker and Recovery *is looking to add another team member to our heavy haul transport division in Jacksonville, FL. An operator in this category utilizes a tandem axle carrier straight truck for transporting vehicles or equipment to/from designated customer requested locations. Our specialized fleet is used to transport heavy equipment to and from job sites or other customer requested locations. *Responsibilities: *Document and communicate repair requests to mechanics, drive vehicle to loading/unloading location, load and unload equipment, conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, work throughout assigned shift, acknowledge and carry out written/oral instructions. *Qualifications: *Must pass a pre-employment drug test/random drug tests, acceptable MVR, clean criminal background (no felonies), possession of a valid drivers license, current DOT physical for CDL operators, minimum of 23 years old. *Physical Requirements: *Ability to climb on, into and out of equipment, work outside to include sitting/standing/walking for an extended period of time, ability to lift heavy objects, ability to work flexible hours, basic knowledge of industrial equipment, basic mechanical skills. *Benefits: *Health insurance, life insurance, paid vacation, PTO, uniforms, certifications. *Hours: *Monday through Friday 7am-5pm.
