Maintains jail security with a high alert status at all times; Operates Central Control panels and controls and manages entry authorization by confirmation of visual identification of staff members, member badges, visitor badges, or other designated authorization; Maintains control of all entry/exit doors and gates accessible to persons inside the facility and the perimeter of the facility including access of authorized vehicles to and from the facility only after positive identification; Notifies appropriate staff of entry of vehicles or pedestrians; Maintains and keeps a watchful eye on all video surveillance monitors for security and internal and external radio transmissions pertaining to the facility; Maintains and monitors all security intercoms within the facility and in-house telephone system; Activates jail security staff to any area of the facility where it appears that officer back up is required. Initiates and/or maintains continuous radio contact with members and supervisors involved in any disturbance, emergency or unusual situation in the facility; Responsible for back up panel control of all housing areas as needed; Maintains and monitors all internal and external life safety alarms. (IE: Panels, Doors, and Gates); Responsible for notifying the proper authorities in emergency situations. (IE: Fire, Ambulance, and Police); Maintains and keeps a daily activity log, either written or computer generated to record movement and activity as specified in the General Orders; Requires your attendance at work under all types of emergency conditions such as to include inclement weather, utility failure, fire or other forced evacuations or as determined by the Manager; Performs other duties as assigned. SUMMARY OF POSITION: Knowledge and ability to diagnose and repair engine, transmission, brake, suspension, electrical, hydraulic, body components and systems related to heavy duty and light duty trucks. This may include gasoline, diesel and CNG systems. May include welding and fabrication. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 1. Diagnoses mechanical problems and performs repairs and maintenance on all equipment to maximize safe and productive operations. Reviews and completes repairs identified on DVIR (Driver Vehicle Inspection Report) and/or repair orders. 2. Communicates with managers/drivers as to issues with vehicles and discusses preventive techniques that minimize future repairs. 3. Completes all required paperwork in a timely and concise manner. 4. Follows all safety policies and procedures 5. Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with corporate and OSHA standards. 6. Utilizes vehicle computer electronics systems to interpret failure modes to initiate or assign repairs. 7. Conducts safety checks on vehicles and equipment. 8. Conducts repairs utilizing Factory Service Manuals. 9. Conducts safety checks on vehicles and equipment. 10. Maintain high standard of Ethics and Dependability. In this role, you will be responsible for operating cranes and heavy equipment safely and efficiently to facilitate the movement of materials and construction components on-site. Your expertise will ensure that projects progress smoothly, adhering to safety standards and project timelines. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse construction sites, utilizing your mechanical knowledge and heavy equipment operation skills to make a tangible impact. *Duties* * Operate Altec AC45-127S to lift, move, and position materials with precision. * Conduct thorough pre-operation inspections of cranes and related equipment to ensure safety and functionality. * Coordinate with riggers and other team members to secure loads using rigging techniques, ensuring safe lifting practices. * Maintain detailed logs of crane operations, inspections, and maintenance activities for safety compliance. * Follow all safety protocols and construction site regulations to prevent accidents and promote a safe working environment. *Qualifications* * Proven experience operating cranes in a construction setting. * NCCCO certified * Valid commercial driver’s license with experience in commercial driving preferred. * Skilled in rigging techniques and materials handling procedures on construction sites. * Prior construction site experience demonstrating familiarity with safety standards and operational protocols. Main Duties & Responsibilities Assists Painters I & II in prep work and general maintenance in the painting area. Attends training sessions as required. Works in a neat, orderly, and safe manner, constantly looking for improved methods and the safety of others. Maintains a positive attitude and acts as a role model for the other employees to follow. Maintains a minimum set of tools required for job performance. Maintains the care and maintenance of company machines/equipment. Ensures co-workers are doing the same. Performs duties on work order. Assists in prep of machines for paint. Assists in taking all types of heavy equipment, generator sets, air compressors, trailers, etc. from various degrees of corrosion to a finished product suitable for sale or return to customer. Pressure washes or sandblasts, as necessary. Completes bodywork on doors, counterweights, cabs, etc., as required. Cleans and rebuilds paint guns, pumps, and pots.
