Job Description: CDM Smith is looking for an entry-level Environmental, Water Resources, or Civil Engineer to join our Water Services Group. This position presents an excellent opportunity for early career candidates to apply their engineering skills to innovative and sustainable water projects and to grow within a dynamic team. In this role, you will support the design and implementation of water and wastewater treatment facilities, sewer systems, pipelines, and associated infrastructure. Operating under supervision, you will ensure designs meet client specifications and comply with federal, state, and local regulatory standards. Responsibilities include conducting site assessments, adjusting design parameters as needed, and conducting water quality analyses and modeling. You will also contribute to technical report preparation, documentation, and collaborate on presentations for client meetings and industry conferences. New team members will also assist in creating documents and presentations using tools like ArcGIS, HEC-RAS, SWMM, CADD, Excel, and other software. Job Summary This is custodial work at the lead worker level in the general cleaning and housekeeping of buildings, facilities, furniture, and equipment including routine care and maintenance of grounds. The worker operates all custodial equipment and participates in all custodial activities and general maintenance of assigned buildings, facilities, equipment and grounds. Work requires knowledge of and the ability to apply the techniques, methods and procedures used in custodial work, School Board policies and procedures applicable to the custodial section and assigned employees and the ability to work independently. Schedules, oversees, monitors, trains, and guides assigned employees; and inspects and reviews the work to include providing input to immediate supervisors regarding employee job performance and recommending realignment of work schedules, as necessary, to adjust for absenteeism. The School Maintenance Technician Lead must be present during the work shift of the main work forces for assigned work location(s) and may be assigned to either the day or night shift. Contact with administrators, teachers, other employees and the general public require basic courtesy, tact and skills in understanding and influencing people to obtain desired results. About the Role: The Underground Equipment Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of heavy equipment used in underground utility and electrical construction projects. This position requires experience operating earth-moving equipment, including skid steers, excavators, and backhoes, while supporting the installation of underground utilities, conduit systems, and related infrastructure. The ideal candidate has experience in underground construction, understands safe excavation practices, and possesses a strong working knowledge of reading and interpreting utility blueprints, construction drawings, and utility locates to ensure accurate installation and avoid damage to existing underground facilities.
