Job Position: Production Supervisor (Nights) Job Location: Jacksonville, FL (not remote role) Reports To: Plant Manager Job Summary: Responsible for the manufacturing operations of an assigned shift by assigning work and providing hands-on supervision while following directives, policies and procedures of the company. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Directly supervises production staff that includes production team (operators, packers, mechanics). Complete quality, efficiency and production reports daily. Responsible for safely achieving established production schedules and efficiencies while monitoring equipment, processes and operating techniques on a continuous basis to assure quality standards are met. Coordinates with the maintenance department to maintain equipment and utilities in proper working condition and monitors to assure equipment is utilized in a safe and efficient manner. Ensures maximum use of raw materials while minimizing scrap levels to attain company standards. Provides accurate records of production, team member absenteeism, accidents, wage increases, vacations and overtime. Responsible for data input into computer programs/systems as required for records. Works with quality control personnel to ensure product quality and takes appropriate action(s) when necessary based on the information they provide. Conducts job, safety and ad-hoc training sessions with shift personnel. Communicates and enforces company work rules and policies. Enforces plant safety rules, housekeeping standards and team member work practices in accordance with company policies and OSHA/FDA regulations. Ensures all GMP and sanitation guidelines are followed. Performs annual performance evaluations of direct reports and shift team members. Responsible for controlling and monitoring attendance and punctuality of the entire shift. Supports all current and new product demands. Works with all other departmental areas to maintain safety, quality, and plant initiatives. Partners with JAX leadership to ensure team collaboration including training methods that leads plant productivity. Follows WinCup Values, follows company procedures, GMP, and other related safety standards. Performs other duties as assigned by the Plant Manager or member of management. Minimum Qualifications: 3 years of supervision in a manufacturing environment Mechanical aptitude; computer literate (preferably using Excel, Microsoft Office and HRIS timeclocks, etc.), good verbal and written communication skills; ability to read, write and speak English; have good problem solving and organizational skills; PHYSICAL DEMANDS (Manufacturing Plant): The characteristics listed below are representative of the physical demands required by an individual to successfully perform the essential duties of a position in our manufacturing plants. Note that office positions located within our Manufacturing Plants often require some plant floor presence throughout the day so that while these demands may not always apply, they should still be noted. Team Member will frequently be required to actively listen and exchange information. Team Member will be required to observe and assess information in a fast paced environment. Will be required to frequently move/transport materials weighing up to 50 pounds which may require frequent bending, twisting and reaching motions. Must wear PPE while working, which includes hairnet, beard net, hearing protection and safety glasses with side guards at all times. Ability to work an 8+, 10+ or 12+ hour shifts as designated. In this energetic position, you will operate Bailer Machine being on Ground to process, compact, and prepare recyclable waste for transportation. Your efforts will contribute to environmental sustainability while ensuring smooth operations within our manufacturing or waste management facility.
