POSITION OVERVIEW AND PURPOSE The Warehouse Lead role is responsible for loading, unloading, stacking, sorting, and segregating, and case picking products in a warehouse environment in order to assemble customer orders. Warehouse leads must be capable of operating all material handling equipment. Warehouse Lead also assists the Warehouse Operators in their duties by answering technical and procedural questions, providing training to new hires, and providing feedback to Supervisors and Managers on employee performance. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES Operate powered industrial trucks (power jack and forklift) to maneuver through the warehouse. Select and load products from warehouse storage onto pallets or trays following a work or pick order to prepare product loads for shipping to customer locations. Provide visual and check with Wave Planner to ensure put-away, shipping, receiving accuracy. Work with Wave Planner and Management to ensure proper efficiency to operations KPI’s. i.e. turn times, damage, accuracy etc. Ensure proper LM functions as communicated by supervisors. Verify inventory and visually inspect product for quality assurance, including integrity of packaging and visible signs of damage. Document and report damages to supervisor or manager. Apply knowledge of truck weight distribution and capabilities to plan, organize and efficiently stage product. Handle manual wrap wand to wrap pallets. Receive work assignments from control room. Read and follow computerized work orders to determine quantities and types of products to be shipped and received. Oversees activities of Warehouse Operators. Using I-Warehouse, perform daily and pre-trip safety checks on all equipment. Apply knowledge of product location to efficiently gather all products for load(s). Identify pick type according to the work order to plan. Communicate with fellow employees for safe transport of goods throughout the warehouse. Provide training to new hires. Follows all regulatory and company safety standards, policies, and procedures. Provide Warehouse Operators with a resource for answering protocol and procedure questions, including client specifications, policies, and operating procedures. Maintain clean work environment, which may include picking up trash or cleaning spills. Must possess the skill to cross-train and warehouse Operator I, II and III. Other duties may be assigned to fulfill Arcadia’s objectives. QUALIFICATIONS High school graduate or general education degree (GED) from an accredited institution. Experience operating all Arcadia MHE equipment required. Basic reading, legible writing and arithmetic skills required. Strong sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines. Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of individuals. High level of attention to detail. Solid Communication skills. Comfortable working independently or as a team.
