Responsibilities: • Leads the development and implementation of quality improvement and process optimization initiatives, including Lean methodologies, to enhance operational efficiency within their functional area and enable the FC to consistently achieve and surpass business objectives. • Responsible for overall performance of either Inbound or Outbound operation, including safety, quality and customer experience • Sets and clarifies requirements and expectations for Operations and Area Managers. Measures performance, provides feedback, and holds Operations Managers accountable for their performance and the performance of their departments. • Leverages Operations and Area Managers by sourcing and nurturing ideas, and rolling them into the creation of improvement plans for the functional area. • Takes proactive steps to ensure that best practices are shared across all departments, shifts and among the network. • Works closely with support staff (HR, Finance, Facilities, Safety, IT and other Sr. Operations Managers) to build and secure support and resources for projects and initiatives in their area, as well as providing needed support and resources for other staff initiatives. Typical Hours: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday – Friday (must have the flexibility to work the occasional Saturday) Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Load and unload tractor-trailer trucks using a forklift. Move product and materials with forklift from/to designated locations. Use wireless Bluetooth scanning equipment to ensure accuracy of inventory. Adhere to all policies and procedures relating to shipping, receiving, and safety. Responsible for meeting productivity requirements. Perform miscellaneous activities as directed to support the efficient operation of the warehouse. Adhere to quality and customer service standards set forth by the company. Inspect forklifts and other material handling equipment prior to use. Identify safety hazards in the workplace. Inspect each pallet and or case for proper quantities, items brands, lot codes (as applicable), and damages and follow any special instructions and /or additional documentation. Communicate problems, concerns and ideas to supervision and management. Identify process improvements. Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area. Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse. Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety. Skills & Qualifications: Forklift Certified. Strong working knowledge of warehouse operational procedures. Effective communication skills, speaking, and active listening. Exceptional time management and organizational skills, ability to prioritize projects and handle interruptions. Strong sense of urgency. In-depth understanding of company best practices. Prior experience using warehouse management software (WMS) and other computer applications. Job Requirements: All candidates must be at least 18 years of age. High School Diploma or equivalent. Proven experience as a forklift operator, often 3-5 years. Good attendance and punctuality: must show up on time and work scheduled shifts. Must have the ability to sit, stand, and walk for long periods of time.
