Senior Project Data Analyst KYC Modernization

Citi - Jacksonville, FL

Discover your future at Citi Working at Citi is far more than just a job. A career with us means joining a team of more than 230,000 dedicated people from around the globe. At Citi, you’ll have the opportunity to grow your career, give back to your community and make a real impact. Job Overview The KYC Modernization initiative is a multi-year, enterprise-wide program to transform our global KYC processes by implementing a new core platform (Fenergo). As we pivot to a more data-driven execution model, we are seeking a highly analytical and proactive Senior Data Analyst to join our Execution Office. This is not a passive reporting role. You will be the analytical engine of our daily War Room, responsible for interrogating our delivery data, identifying the root causes of delays, and providing the actionable recommendations that allow the Initiative Manager and senior leadership to make faster, smarter decisions. Your primary mission is to replace narrative-based status updates with data-driven insights, transforming our Jira and Zephyr data from a complex repository into a clear, predictive tool for managing execution. Key Responsibilities Own the Daily Execution Dashboard: Maintain and enhance the Epic-Driven Daily Execution Dashboard, ensuring data from Jira and Zephyr is accurately reflected in a "single pane of glass" view and prepare dashboards for senior executives to facilitate decision making. Prepare the dashboard for the 3x weekly Execution War Room, highlighting critical blockers, at-risk capabilities, and negative trends before the meeting begins. Automate data pulls and visualizations to minimize manual report creation and maximize time spent on analysis. Analyze Delivery Velocity and Predict Bottlenecks: Track sprint-on-sprint performance, including story point completion, defect resolution rates, and build-breaking bug trends. Analyze the flow of Epics across the full lifecycle (Dev SIT UAT Done) to identify where capabilities are slowing down or getting stuck. Develop predictive metrics to forecast potential sprint spillover or milestone delays before they become critical. Conduct Root Cause Analysis on Blockers and Defects: Go beyond simply reporting that an Epic is "Blocked." Use Jira data to identify the specific dependency, the owner of the blocking task, and the aging of the issue. Analyze defect trends to identify systemic quality issues, such as a specific POD generating a high number of bugs or a recurring type of integration failure. Provide the "so what" behind the numbers, presenting clear, actionable recommendations to the Initiative Manager (e.g., "Data Migration defects have been flat for 3 days; we recommend assigning a dedicated engineer to defect #5821 to unblock the two dependent stories"). Support Jira Data Hygiene and Structure: Work with Tech Leads and POD owners to ensure the Jira plan is maintained at a high quality, with clear dependencies, a defined critical path, and accurate capability prioritization (Non-Negotiable, High, Medium). Ensure all test cases in Zephyr are correctly linked to their parent Jira Epics to enable the end-to-end lifecycle view. Act as the subject matter expert for the Execution Office on JQL, helping to build and refine the queries that power our dashboards and reports. Support Executive Reporting: Provide the quantitative data and analytical insights required for the monthly Steering Committee and other senior leadership briefings. Translate complex delivery metrics into clear, concise visuals and summaries that are easily consumable by an executive audience. Qualifications & Required Skills Experience: 6-10 years of experience in a data analysis, project management, or PMO role on a large-scale technology transformation program. Jira Expertise (Non-Negotiable): Expert-level proficiency with Jira, including building complex dashboards, writing advanced JQL queries, and understanding how to structure projects with Epics, stories, and dependencies. Experience with Jira macros in Confluence is a strong plus. Data Analysis & Visualization: Proven ability to analyze complex datasets, identify trends, and present findings in a clear and compelling way. Experience with tools like Excel, Tableau, or Power BI is highly desirable. Agile/Scrum Knowledge: Deep understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies, including concepts like story points, velocity, and sprint ceremonies. Problem-Solving Mindset: You must be a proactive problem-solver who goes beyond reporting the numbers to understand the "why" behind them and recommend concrete actions. Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to a non-technical, executive audience. Experience with Testing Tools (Preferred): Familiarity with test management tools like Zephyr and an understanding of how to link test execution status back to development work items is a significant advantage, and AI experience. Education: Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience - Job Family Group: Operations - Core - Job Family: Operations Project Management - Time Type: Full time - Primary Location: Jacksonville Florida United States - Primary Location Full Time Salary Range: $113,840.00 - $170,760.00 In addition to salary, Citi’s offerings may also include, for eligible employees, discretionary and formulaic incentive and retention awards.
