Transport patients when necessary. · Monitor patients before and after exams. · Make sure patients are comfortable while waiting. · Interact with Radiologists, ARNPs, Pas and other physicians and colleagues a required. · Start/remove I.V.s when necessary. · Assist in keeping the department clean and orderly. · Insert/remove Foley catheters as required. · Remain up to date on facility/department procedures. · Conduct risk management procedures and ensure proper documentation and timely submission of incident/variance reports. · Display good knowledge of fire safety and disaster preparedness procedures. Work closely with other supervisors to coordinate laboratory functions. Prepare and manage assigned cost center budget. Schedule staff and make workstation assignments. Work as a technologist when necessary. Ensure all regulatory, licensing and accreditation requirements are fulfilled for assigned areas. Perform all assigned duties in a caring and professional manner to serve as a model to create an environment where the patient and the customer are of primary importance. Qualifications: Age of Patients Served:All Age Groups. Required Education:Bachelor's Degree. Associate's Degree with +8y relevant work experience may be accepted in lieu of Bachelor's Degree. Preferred Education:Master's Degree Necessary Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work well under pressure to complete deadlines. Demonstrate appropriate computer skills. Technically competent in principles and procedures of assigned laboratory disciplines. Understanding of laboratory regulatory issues.
