MedTech Field Service Engineer

Jacksonville, United States of America | Part time | Field-based | R1552020 Internal Job Description Our MedTech Field Service Engineer experiences a unique opportunity employ their technical experience by collaborating with healthcare professionals and leading technical initiatives in medical device technology. You will be responsible for periodic maintenance, installing and updating as needed for medical devices including laboratory diagnostic units in hospitals across the United States, while delivering exceptional customer service. This is a great opportunity for you to advance your technical skills in the medical device industry! Please Note: This is a 100% travel position. Local, Regional and National travel required. Job Responsibilities: Provide ongoing communication and customer support to on-site hospital staff. Organizing, testing, and updating medical devices, installing, and configuring hardware, software, and network products. Conduct routine checks and records data from product tests after installation and configuration. Document and submit daily data while maintaining high standards of product support quality documentation. Full-time commitment requires travel locally, regionally, and nationally. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational classes as required and reviewing technical bulletins. Performs other duties and/or projects as assigned. Maintain credentials required by Client’s customers through credentialing services such as GHX (Vendormate) or Reptrax. You will have an opportunity to travel, grow, and expand into new opportunities while earning supplemental income and learning the medical device industry. Schedule: Assignment-based schedule with 30-40 hour commitment per week and overtime as needed. This role comes with a guarantee of 24 hours per week but the expected work is up to 40 hours per week. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree or Technical School in biomedical engineering or 3-5+ years’ experience in the repair, maintenance, and installation of medical diagnostic equipment used in a laboratory setting in leu of education based on experience. Biomedical, hardware, electrical, mechanical and diagnostic repair and troubleshooting experience is required. Professional business acumen and effective communication skills required. Self-motivated individual who can work independently or collaboratively within a team, required. Ability to respond to clients by traveling when needed to address repairs or maintenance Strong time management and organizational skills to ensure on-time completion of project assignments. An active and unrestricted driver license, and a personal vehicle for local work-related assignments. Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time and lift up to 70 pounds, required. Ability to clear hospital vendor credentialing requirements, including providing proof of vaccination status is required or willing to obtain if offered role. Oversees OSHA and regulatory compliance related issues ensuring appropriate actions taken to ensure required resolution. Successful completion of the FMCNA Biomedical Technician Technical Certification Program within the first 24 months of employment required.
