Fellows will gain extensive experience in cerebral angiography, advanced neurovascular interventions, and cerebrovascular microsurgery. Neuromuscular Research Program Coordinator

The neuromuscular research program coordinator (NRPC) reports to the Director of Neuromuscular Research for administrative oversight (e.g. employment eligibility, departmental responsibilities, and performance review). The NRPC will work closely with the Director of Neuromuscular Research and neurologic rehabilitation program investigators regarding day-to-day responsibilities and providing oversight and direction to the neuromuscular research program. The NRPC will work closely with the Vice President of Clinical Integration and Research regarding program initiatives and processes. The NRPC oversees a variety of complex research related activities and works with the Director of Neuromuscular Research to oversee and develop the research program. The NRPC works with research investigators to plan, develop, and conduct research studies related to neurologic rehabilitation. The NRPC is also responsible for tracking the status of all neurologic research related activities conducted through the Brooks Rehabilitation Clinical Research Center (BRCRC) and reporting this information to research leadership, including the Director of Neuromuscular Research. The NRPC serves as a resource to study coordinators and Brooks clinical investigators involved in the planning and development of additional neurologic research through the BRCRC. The NRPC is involved in the dissemination of research findings and promotion of the BRCRC and the neuromuscular research across the Brooks Rehabilitation community, at national and international conferences, and peer-reviewed scientific journals. Additionally, the NRPC serves as a leader and mentor, providing guidance to all staff within the neuromuscular research program including research assistants, study coordinators, recruitment & engagement specialist, and clinician scientists. This leadership role is also responsible for organizing and leading staff and team-related meetings as well as research planning and development. The NRPC supervises study team members involved in neurologic research at Brooks Rehabilitation. This includes study coordinators, study clinicians, clinician scientists and research assistants. Supervisory functions include the planning and execution of research program initiatives to ensure successful operations and all study-related activities across the program. Qualifications: Minimal qualifications include a clinical doctoral degree and professional license as an occupational or physical therapist with at least 3 years of previous research experience. Residency training and Board-certification (or equivalent) in a neurologic specialty area of practice is required. Basic Life Support (CPR) required. The NRPC position requires strong leadership and communication skills as well as high levels of self-motivation and self-regulation.
