This is a full-time position. In this role you will work closely with skilled physicians and operating teams. Your day will start with a check-in and patient assignments. Depending on the day's surgery schedule you may work with a singular patient for a complex case, or you may work with multiple patients having shorter procedures. As a circulator you will only ever work with one patient at a time. You will meet your patients in the OR, and you will remain with them for the duration of their procedure and ensure they are appropriately cared for until transferred to PACU care. As a nurse circulator you will be the patient’s primary advocate, responsible for the delivery and documentation of patient care during the intra-operative period. This may include verifying patient information, positioning the patient, managing the room, and initiating counts. As an Internal Traveler Registered Nurse for the Main OR, you will be responsible for: Provide care to patients requiring treatment of any medical, surgical, or other condition. Embrace and uphold the hospital mission statement. Educate patients and families to their disease process and plan of care. Interact with physicians and other departments within the hospital.
