Supplier Quality Engineer

Achieve throughput, utilization (OEE), scrap reduction, and overtime targets while monitoring performance trends. Drive root-cause analysis for quality issues, downtime, and process instability in collaboration with Engineering and Maintenance. Maintain adherence to standardized operating procedures, machine setup standards, and quality requirements. Partner with Fabrication/ Process Engineering on program optimization, fixture standardization, new equipment commissioning, and automation integration. Work with Planning to optimize capacity utilization, schedule attainment, and fabrication prioritization across buildings. Ensure consistent execution of 5S, visual management, daily tier meetings, and problem-solving routines. Support continuous improvement activities that reduce cycle time, improve flow, and increase efficiency. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Manufacturing Technology, Industrial Technology, or related technical field. MBA is an asset. 5+ years in metal manufacturing operations Leadership experience managing supervisors and production/ fabrication teams. Strong knowledge of CNC punch, forming, and material flow. Confirm, team loading and monitor individual project team lists and crew sizing in Project Plan, based on Foreman, Leadmen and QAQC input. Schedule and monitor all shop floor activities through coordination with Plant Manager, QAQC and shipping and receiving personnel. Seek to identify improved methods of production. Coordinate all quality checks with QAQC. Confirm Design Reviews and associated SEA.7.31.DE.3F02 Engineering Checklist Template are completed accurately and timely submission to Manufacturing Engineer and Plant Manager. Individual Project Build Plans Monitor, update and master accountability of overall Project Plan, through daily Activities Schedules and the quality, efficiency and timely completion thereof: Milestone dates.
