This role is responsible for the accuracy, reliability, and compliance of electronic transaction flows across BSF’s trading partner network: customers, vendors, and logistics partners. This is not a passive monitoring role. The EDI Analyst is expected to own problems to resolution, communicate proactively when something is at risk, and bring forward improvements without being asked. BSF is actively expanding its EDI capability, including a greenfield vendor EDI program, and this role will be part of building it. The EDI Analyst reports to the EDI Manager and works closely with Supply Chain, Purchasing, Logistics, Finance, and external trading partners. You are often the first person who knows something is wrong and the person the business depends on to fix it. *CORE RESPONSIBILITIES* *EDI Operations and Maintenance* * Monitor daily EDI transaction flows and resolve errors, exceptions, and failed transmissions promptly and completely * Audit EDI transactions for accuracy and compliance with trading partner specifications and internal business rules * Respond to internal and external inquiries and tickets related to EDI transactions with urgency and clarity * Document EDI processes, SOPs, configurations, partner profiles, and issue resolution steps so that knowledge lives in the team, not just in your head * Identify recurring issues and surface root cause recommendations, not just ticket closes *Trading Partner Management* * Onboard new trading partners by coordinating testing, mapping, and go-live activities * Serve as the primary liaison with trading partners to resolve discrepancies, rejections, and compliance issues * Maintain current knowledge of partner-specific EDI requirements and communicate changes to relevant internal stakeholders before they become problems * Establish, monitor, and maintain AS2 connections *Cross-Functional Collaboration* * Work closely with Supply Chain, Purchasing, Warehousing, and Finance to understand business requirements and translate them into EDI solutions * Communicate clearly with non-technical teammates: you make EDI understandable, not mysterious * Provide training and guidance to business users on EDI-related processes and tools * Participate in cross-functional projects as BSF’s EDI subject matter expert * Partner with the Development team on integration architecture as EDI connects to NetSuite and other core systems *WHAT YOU WILL BRING* *Required* * 2 to 5 years of hands-on EDI experience in a manufacturing, distribution, or logistics environment * Demonstrated experience with ANSI X12 EDI transaction sets: 850, 855, 856, 810, 940/945, 997, and others * Experience with at least one EDI platform or VAN: Boomi, Celigo, SPS Commerce, or equivalent * Experience with AS2, SFTP, FTP, or VAN communication protocols * Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve EDI transmission errors independently, without waiting to be told where to look * Clear, responsive communication with both technical teammates and business stakeholders * Ownership mentality: you treat open issues as your problem until they are resolved, not someone else’s ticket *Preferred* * Experience integrating EDI with ERP systems, specifically Celigo and Oracle NetSuite * Working knowledge of SQL for data querying and validation * Experience supporting retail or grocery trading partners: Walmart, Kroger, or similar * Experience in food distribution, seafood, CPG, or supply chain environments * Familiarity with Jira for ticket management and project tracking *WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE* *In 90 days:* You know BSF’s trading partner landscape, you own the transaction monitoring process, and the EDI Manager is not fielding issues you should be handling. You have documented at least one process that was not documented before. *In year one:* Customer chargebacks related to EDI errors are reduced. New trading partners are onboarded on schedule. The vendor EDI program is live and you are a key contributor to its growth. The business teams you support think of you as a reliable, responsive partner, not a gatekeeper. *HOW WE SHOW UP AT BSF* We are a team that turns the business’s toughest problems into technology that actually works. That requires more than technical skill: it requires showing up the right way every day. * Flexibility: You adapt when priorities shift, when systems behave unexpectedly, and when the business needs something it didn’t know how to ask for. Change is part of the job, not an interruption to it. * Integrity: You do the right thing when no one is watching, in your documentation, your transaction audits, and how you treat the trading partners and teammates you work with. * Spirit of Curiosity: You ask questions before you assume, explore ideas before you settle, and look for a better way even when the current way works fine. * Helping Each Other: You don’t solve problems alone and hoard the answer. You share what you know, support your teammates, and remember that IT wins as a team or not at all. *THE DETAILS* * Location: On-site (Jacksonville, FL) or Remote * Reports to: EDI Manager * Classification: Full-time, exempt Pay: $90,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year Benefits: * 401(k) * 401(k) matching * Dental insurance * Employee assistance program * Employee discount * Flexible schedule * Flexible spending account * Health insurance * Health savings account * Life insurance * Paid time off * Parental leave * Professional development assistance * Tuition reimbursement * Vision insurance Work Location: In person
