We are looking for a reliable LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) to care for invalids and injured people in a professional and considerate manner. You will work under the supervision of a registered nurse or doctor. LPN professionals must be first and foremost qualified and compassionate. The ideal candidate will be experienced in providing diverse basic care to those who need it while remaining patient and calm. It is a demanding job but also very rewarding. *Job Overview* The LPN works collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary treatment team to assess, direct, plan, evaluate, implement, and document Biblically based patient care through monitoring, administering medications, consulting with health care providers, updating patient records, and educating patients and their patients' families on treatment. *Responsibilities* * Works under the supervision of the Director of Nursing and in collaboration with the Executive Director, Clinical Director, and Medical Director * Provides, assesses, directs, plans, evaluates, and documents Biblically-based patient care to individuals in residential treatment in a supportive and empathetic manner, ensuring a safe and healing environment for patients and families. * Follows and upholds the mission, vision, and values of Charis Eating Disorder Care * Communicates with medical doctors and processes orders for labs, imaging, and pharmacy, ensuring timely scheduling of services and documentation of services and results in EMR Administers medication when necessary * Assists in overseesing the medication inventory and documentation of all medication changes in patient record * Maintains clinical competence in nursing practice * Maintains an open and trustworthy working relationship with all levels of the multidisciplinary team * Understands and complies with HIPAA regulations, strictly adhering to all patients and staff confidentiality rights * Upholds all CEDC Policies and Procedures * Manages annual calibration of medical devices * Teaches, assesses, and aids in certification processes (as necessary) the self-administration of medication and processes for obtaining vital signs, weights, and glucose monitoring to mental health technicians and other staff as requested by the Clinical Director * Serves on committees as assigned * Represents Nursing Department on multi-disciplinary treatment team, attending staffing when available * Performs other tasks as assigned by the Director of Nursing *Skills* * Conveys the mission of Charis Eating Disorder Care, the purpose of CEDC’s ministry, and the importance of Biblically-based treatment for eating disorders * Responds appropriately to inquiries about the nature of CEDC’s mission * Networks, collaborates, and trains prospective patients and families, other organizations, the public (awareness), and professionals * Models a Biblically-based, Christ-centered lifestyle, on and off campus, providing an example to patients, families, staff, public, and professionals * Organizes tasks by priority and multitasks efficiently * Communicates effectively in verbal and written forms * Works well in a team environment, towards the goals of the team * Self-motivates * Commits to a standard of excellence, presenting CEDC in a polished, professional and Christ-honoring manner * Balances a fluctuating schedule and meets the requirements and guidelines of a job description rather than that of a job with a set number of hours per week for which responsible to be on site *Qualifications* * A minimum of Nursing Degree with graduation from an accredited school of nursing * Current and active Licensed Practial Nurse (LPN) in the State of Florida, in good standing * Minimum of two years of experience in a clinical setting * CPR First Aid Training (and continued maintenance of certification) * Preferred experience in treating eating disorders *Schedule* * Saturday, Sunday, 7a-7p or 10a-10p/ every weekend Base Pay: $24.00 - $25.00 per hour Benefits: * Dental insurance * Health insurance * Vision insurance License/Certification: * Florida LPN License (Required) Ability to Commute: * Yulee, FL 32097 (Required) Work Location: In person
