Overview: The Section Lab Supervisor oversees technical aspects of department including Quality Control and Quality Assurance activities. Ensure staff are trained and competent to perform patient testing. Manages equipment, supplies and services with respect to quality. Reviews and updates policies and procedures as needed. Assists in the provision of direct supervision and leadership for all functions of the specialty to include disciplinary action, the hire and termination process, and employee performance review. Provide instruction and training in theory, technical skills, safety protocols, and laboratory procedures to students and employees. Performs laboratory testing with accuracy and precision specific to the assigned section for the treatment and diagnosis of diseases. Overview: The Phlebotomy /EKG Technician provides direct and indirect inpatient and outpatient care services including phlebotomy, ECG testing and transportation of patients. Labels all specimens in front of patient with required information, EMR ID, date and time of collection.
