Drive personal, company, and rental vehicles to client or company project or office sites, and other business locations, as needed. Education and Licensure: Bachelor's degree in environmental sciences, natural resources (e.g., forestry, fisheries, biology, ecology etc.), environmental engineering, or environmental management disciplines. (preferred) College-level coursework covering vegetation, soils, and hydrology such as the following: botany, dendrology, forestry, soil science, geology, land management, environmental planning, environmental law and policy, hydrology, hydrogeography, wildlife habitat ecology, ecology, ornithology, remote sensing technology, photogrammetry, and Geographic Information Systems. (preferred) Professional registration (i.e., PWD, PWS, CWB, CPSS, Arborist). (preferred) Certifications or additional training or experience in wetland delineations. (preferred) Skills, Experience and Qualifications: At least 8 years (10+ preferred) of direct environmental permitting & planning experience, preferably consulting in the Southeastern U.S. and Gulf Coast marketplace; or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. (required) Ability to succeed in a fast-paced consulting environment, handling multiple project assignments concurrently, meeting strict deadlines, and traveling to client facilities as needed. (required) Technical experience in conducting stream and wetland delineations and ability to perform the lead delineator role. (preferred) Strong knowledge of native flora and fauna of the eastern U.S. (preferred) Experience with federal permitting programs such as the Clean Water Act and the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) 404 wetland permitting process. (preferred) Experience performing site visits, collecting field data, and preparing technical reports for compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) including environmental resource reports, Environmental Assessments (EA) and Environmental Impact Assessments (EIS). (preferred) Strong technical writing skills and the ability to prepare scientific reports and permit applications in accordance with state and federal standards.
