Compiles from customer orders and other specifications detailed production sheets or work tickets for use by production workers as guides in assembly or manufacture of products. Prepares written work schedules based on established guidelines and priorities. Compiles material inventory records and prepares requisitions for procurement of materials and supplies. Charts production, using chart, graph, or pegboards, based on statistics compiled for reference by productions and management personnel. Sorts and distributes work tickets or material to workers. May compute wages from employee timecards and post wage data on records used for preparation of payroll. Performs other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS / EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE High school education or equivalent. Must have three years' verifiable experience working in a professional office environment performing clerical duties as well as having demonstrated ability in the coordination of workflow processes. Must type a minimum of 55 wpm. Must possess strong computer skills, to include practical experience working with spreadsheet and database programs and report query writing. Must be able to perform multiple tasks concurrently. Must possess good customer relations skills to effectively provide assistance to Company and customer representatives. Must possess a valid state driver's license Must have and wear hard-toed safety shoes which meet ASTM F2413-05 standards when entering industrial areas. New employees can earn 60K in total compensation when working at Canam Steel Corp for a 40-50 hour work week. Position is full-time with benefits! 2nd Shift Monday - Thursday 4:00 PM – 1:30 AM and Friday 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM Plus some weekend availability required *Must be able to work all shift schedules Assembles steel joist components ready for final welding; performs such work consistent with corporate mission, values and department's financial objectives. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Sets up jigs, reads and interprets shop drawings necessary for such work. Moves parts into position. Aligns parts. Tack welds or clamps parts into position ready for moving along conveyor to final welding area. Perform other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor including, but not limited to, cleaning, metal scrap removal and other joist assembly-related activities. Requirements: QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or GED. Six months experience in a heavy manufacturing environment, steel industry preferred.
