If you’re new to public transportation, check out the Jacksonville Transportation Authority’s (JTA) city bus routes and the Skyway in Downtown Jacksonville. There are plenty of opportunities to travel throughout the region without relying on a car. 

• Homeowner Checklist 

For electrical and water services, new residents should contact the Jacksonville Electric Authority (JEA) to get everything set up. As a heads-up, you’ll need to bring two forms of identification when visiting in person. It’s also important to learn your trash and recycling pickup schedule, which you can find here.
