This includes Pre-Op, Phase 1 PACU and Phase 2 PACU. • Assess, quickly identify and resolve pre-operative issues. • Starting and monitoring IVs, administering pre-operative medications and performing pre-operative instruction and explanation of patient's rights and procedures. • In the PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit), the nurse will provide care for post-op patients recovering from general, regional, and local anesthesia.
