Physician Billing Compliance Analyst | Downtown/Remote| Days

Overview: Job Duties Under limited supervision, the Physician Billing Compliance Analyst (“Analyst”) will perform physician coding/documentation audits for providers of the University of Florida College of Medicine - Jacksonville (“COM-Jax”) and the University of Florida Jacksonville Physicians Group (“UFJPI”). Analyst will also perform abbreviated reviews on newly hired providers’ documentation outside of the regular compliance audit cycle. Audit focus will be on physician/advanced practice professional coding and chart documentation to include review of E&M, CPT, ICD-10-CM, HCPCS Level II, teaching physician guidelines and carrier specific policies. The Analyst will utilize medical management systems as well as auditing software applications to perform reviews. The Analyst will prepare and present accurate reports of audit findings to appropriate personnel. The Analyst will coordinate with various COM-Jax and UFJPI representatives to process any resulting refunds and address educational needs from the audit findings. Overview: Job Purpose The Senior Compliance Analyst (“SCA”) is responsible for assisting in verifying that ICE Data Pricing and Reference Data, LLC (“PRD”), an SEC Registered Investment Adviser, meets its regulatory requirements. About the team and role We are seeking an experienced commercial and compliance lawyer to join Scribd’s Legal Team. In this key role, reporting to the General Counsel, you will provide legal advice and guidance across all areas, ensuring compliance, negotiating contracts, and managing risks to drive business growth in a complex regulatory environment. You will / Responsibilities / What you will do Product Counseling Provide practical, solution-oriented legal advice on issues arising from the development and marketing of Scribd products and features, including privacy, data security, consumer protection (including marketing disclosures), online safety, and content moderation. Regulatory Compliance Develop compliance programs and oversee ongoing compliance with domestic and global privacy regulations (e.g., CCPA/CPRA, GDPR, COPPA, and emerging frameworks) and online safety laws (e.g., UK OSA and DSA). Incident Response & Security Advise on security incident preparedness and response, including incident response plans, breach notification requirements, and post-incident communications. Identify opportunities to streamline the contract process, including by developing contract templates, effectively issue spotting, and developing contract processes and guidelines in collaboration with internal stakeholders. Content Counseling Provide strategic guidance on content licensing, distribution, copyright, and other content-related legal matters, including generative AI technologies. Cross-Functional Partnership Partner with stakeholders across the organization, including in engineering, product management, marketing, and security to operationalize compliance requirements and privacy-by-design practices throughout Scribd’s product development lifecycle. You Have / We're looking for / Requirements J.D. from an accredited law school; active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction. Minimum of 5 years of legal practice, with significant experience in privacy, data protection, and product counseling as an in-house or law firm attorney. Demonstrated expertise with global privacy laws and regulations, including GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, COPPA, and knowledge of laws and regulations governing online intermediaries and social media platforms. Experience managing security incident response and advising on breach notification requirements. Strong background in contract drafting and negotiation, particularly with data protection and security terms. Excellent judgment and ability to balance legal risk with business goals in a fast-paced environment. Clear, concise communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional partners at all levels.
