Performs chemical analysis of boiler water and cooling towers and chemical treatment as required; determines fuel requirements and maintains all related pumps, valves, and piping. PURPOSE OF POSITION: The Custodian is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of both the interior and exterior areas of the facility, including production areas, restrooms, offices, and common spaces, while complying with safety and environmental standards. This position will be for our first shift. Shift hours are from 6:00am - 2:30pm, Monday through Friday. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors in production area, break rooms, restrooms, hallways and office spaces. Dust surfaces and wiping down furniture and fixtures. Empty trash bins and dispose of waste in safe and environmentally responsible manner. Clean and disinfect restrooms; replenish supplies (toilet paper, soap, etc.) as needed. Maintain cleanliness in all common areas including break rooms, Conference rooms, and entryways. Ensure cleaning supplies are fully stocked and properly maintained. Complete janitor checklists at the end of each shift. Notify maintenance manager when repairs or maintenance are required. Clean and sanitize refrigerators on a weekly basis. Handle cleaning chemicals according to safety guidelines. Follow safety protocols and war appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Perform routine cleaning tasks, including window washing, dusting, and surface cleaning. Maintain supply order lists and submit them to the buyer for replenishment of cleaning supplies. Assist with additional duties as requested by the manager. COMPETENCIES: Ability to follow written and verbal instructions from the maintenance team. Capability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong time management skills. Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain cleanliness in a fast-paced environment.
