Today, Mandarin retains its charming heritage – the suburban neighborhood of Jacksonville is known for its historical architecture. Views of the St. Johns River and Spanish moss covered oak trees are tough to beat from the Mandarin Museum & Historical Society. For fun in the sun, plan a trip to Mandarin Park where you can boat or play tennis, pickleball or shuffleboard. Be sure to keep an eye out for manatees. Mandarin, located 25 minutes south of downtown Jacksonville, is primarily filled with residences and local and chain culinary spots.
