I was born in Jacksonville and lived here for 10 years before moving to California, where I spent the next 9 years. Despite living in California, my family remained in Jacksonville, and I returned every summer during my upbringing. After high school, I made the decision to move back because I wanted to be close to my family, the beach, and embrace the Southern charm of Jacksonville—a city that offers the amenities of a large town with a small-town feel that I’ve always cherished.
