Embrace gratitude, community and creativity in JAX through a variety of events and activities that build up to the big feast! Here are some ways Northeast Florida is celebrating the turkey season:
Family-Friendly Activities
Markets for Makers is back… but with a holiday twist! On November 16th and 17th, the Prime Osborn Convention Center will be full of art, home decor and other locally crafted items that will help you get started on decorating.
If you have kids, you won’t want to miss the Middleburg Fall Festival! This event will have tons of children’s activities such as a petting zoo and a bounce house as well as food trucks and live music too!
From delicious fall treats to a pumpkin patch and hayride, the Hope Pavilion Fall Festival is a great idea for a family day out. Located in Ponte Vedra Beach, this event will make sure to put you in the Thanksgiving spirit.
Adults Night Out
Spend the night before Thanksgiving out and about in Jacksonville Beach with this annual bar crawl. A ticket to this event will give you access to more than four venues, free entry to some of the most popular bars and your entry to the after party!
Whether you’re looking for a night out with friends or a great date night, the Thanksgiving Night Sip & Paint is the perfect idea. This event is BYOB and will provide you with a canvas and painting supplies. They will also be doing a costume contest!
This event is the best of both worlds – a fun activity to do with friends and it helps you prep your Thanksgiving dinner table set up. The Jacksonville Flower Market will be hosting a class on November 23 to build a Thanksgiving centerpiece full of beautiful fall flowers!
Thanksgiving Races
The 10th Annual Tony’s Turkey Trot 5K for Brain Injury Awareness will be held in Atlantic Beach on November 28th at 8 AM. Spend the morning running along the beautiful seashore for a great cause. Not only will they be giving away awards for the fastest runners, but they will also have team awards and a costume contest!
One of Jacksonville’s largest fall races is back for another year. The Community First Thanksgiving Distance Classic will be held at Pickwick Plaza. Start your day running around a gorgeous neighborhood in JAX and help raise money for Mandarin Food Bank before the afternoon festivities with family and friends.
When you live in a region as great as Northeast Florida, there is so much to be thankful for. We can’t wait to see how you will be celebrating this turkey season in JAX!
