What I love most about Jacksonville is that it’s home—it’s where my family is, where my closest friends are, and where I’ve built a career I care deeply about. Plus, I get to live by the beach, which is one of my favorite places to be.
I think young professionals should seriously consider moving to Jacksonville because it offers the perfect mix of career opportunity, affordability and quality of life. You get to grow your career in a city that’s constantly evolving, while still being able to live near the beach, support local businesses and be part of a welcoming, tight-knit community. There’s real room here to build something meaningful—both personally and professionally.
I’m a 3D engineer at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, where I get to turn medical imaging into real, tangible models that help surgeons plan complex procedures and so much more. As a first-gen college grad and current materials science master’s student at UNF, I’m passionate about creating opportunities for others in STEM and I love being part of the Jacksonville community that’s supported me every step of the way.
