JAX is a place where you can experience all that Florida has to offer for healthy living and wellness. You can combine relaxation and adventure. There are more than 90+ miles of coastline for swimming, yoga, running or relaxing, and its home to the largest urban park system in the nation. That’s 80,000-plus acres for hiking, biking, paddling and exploring. Or, just enjoy being outdoors as the weather is pleasant all year round! I am happy to experience all that JAX has to offer in healthy living.
I moved to Jacksonville from New Orleans after my boyfriend was stationed here with the U.S. Coast Guard. I did not realize how much fun stuff there is here! Some of my favorite things to do are to walk and bike around the Riverside and Avondale area and get fresh fruit and vegetables from the Riverside Arts Market. For a newcomer (and sports fan), I recommend checking out a Jumbo Shrimp baseball game and Jacksonville Jaguars football game. There is also a great craft brewing scene here. After a day at the beach, listen to live music at a variety of different music venues throughout JAX.
Formerly a New Orleans resident, I studied political science and American politics at Tulane University and American University. I moved to JAX in 2017 when my boyfriend was stationed here with the U.S. Coast Guard. My work as a senior account executive at Burdette Ketchum and North Star Destination Strategies means I get to explore my new hometown while I develop my career.
