This restaurant has the saying “good vibes, high tides and great bites” listed on their website… and they were definitely correct! The Sandbar’s live music creates a fun and vibrant atmosphere, and the various food and drink options are sure to leave your cravings satisfied! This is the ideal spot for a night out with friends.
Dinner with a view is always a great option, but Down Under Restaurant takes it up a notch! Located right on the marina, the outdoor seating area gives you the chance to spot a wide range of wildlife – from alligators to manatees, who knows what you might see! Soak in the sunshine and spend your day at Gregor MacGregors in Fernandina Beach. Not only does this attraction offer a fun course for you and your family to play putt-putt, but also has a bar and patio for you to relax and hang out at afterwards.
If you or your little ones are animal lovers, make sure to visit Amelia Island Nature Center. Hang out with various animals, including birds and turtles, and learn more about this neighborhood’s wildlife and nature. If being in the water is more your speed, the nature center also offers kayak and paddleboard tours!
There’s no better way to view Amelia Island’s gorgeous scenery and outdoor attractions than by an electric bike. Visit Pedego Electric Bikes Amelia Island to rent a bike for a day and see for yourself why this neighborhood is so great. If history is up your alley, this is a must-visit! Take in the beautiful scenery and step into the past at Fort Clinch State Park. Not only are there various hiking trails and biking routes, but you can also spend the night at their campground.
FYJ Pro Tip: Visit this state park on the first weekend of every month to see a canon being fired and various battlefield skills on display.
Every Saturday from 9am-1pm, Fernandina’s historic district is transformed to showcase a wide variety of local vendors and artists. From food to jewelry, there is something for everyone at this local market!
Attention all car fanatics! Founded in 1996, Amelia Island is home to an award-winning car show that happens yearly. With 275 historic vehicles on display and 35 car classes, the Concours d’Elegance is a must-do activity.
